3D product animation for flexible living spaces
BrickBox shelving is built from stackable boxes. A few basic elements form shelves, sideboards or larger wall arrangements. That ability to change is the starting point for our film.
We developed a 3D product video that brings the modules together and rearranges them within a room. The movement shows both the assembly of individual boxes and different configurations of the shelving system.
The transitions were the main challenge: viewers needed to follow how the elements relate, even as the arrangement changes. The storyboard connects the individual configurations in one continuous visual sequence.
The concept focuses on product, movement and function. A restrained interior and coordinated lighting give the changing configurations a shared visual setting.
From one module to a room layout
The same basic elements change the shape of the furniture. In the video, shelving grows upward, becomes a low sideboard or forms a room divider. The setting provides a consistent sense of scale.
We placed the modules in a digitally designed living space with warm lighting, wood flooring and clear architectural lines. The surroundings remain recognizable through the transitions, making it possible to follow how each configuration uses the space differently.
Slow camera movements follow the boxes as they rearrange. The transitions show which elements move and how the next form takes shape. Selected views hold on the completed configuration.
Books and carefully chosen objects show the compartments in use. They complement the furniture without obscuring the movement of the modules. Product imagery and interior design follow the same visual idea.
Details that identify the system
For the 3D models, we recreated the Small and Large boxes, doors, shelves and wooden legs. Pale surfaces, exposed plywood edges and side handholds are among the features retained in the film.
White and gray lead the palette, with selected yellow and mint-green accents. Soft light defines the edges and reveals the depth of the compartments. Materials, interior and movement were developed together.
The film connects six transformations, including shelving on legs, a modular sideboard and a double-sided shelving wall. The choreography moves from one arrangement to the next rather than simply presenting finished options side by side.
The animation was prepared in 16:9, square and vertical formats for websites, social media and presentations. The gallery also shows our product imagery on the BrickBox website. The brand’s visual language carries through from the film to the product view.
What movement explains here
For BrickBox, change is the subject of the film. The box remains recognizable as the basic element while the height, width and use of the furniture shift. This makes the relationship between individual module and complete system visible.
The product animation adds a sequence to the still images: parts come together, modules change position, and a new configuration emerges. The digital interior gives these movements a sense of scale.
Danthree Studio developed the concept, storyboard, 3D models and animation. The work involved both depicting the product and designing its surroundings. The film brings the two together in a restrained visual language.
