A 3D Product Video for Modular Furniture – Visual, Emotional, Transformative
The shelving systems from BrickBox represent a principle that is becoming increasingly important in today's living environment: furniture should adapt to life – not the other way around. BrickBox's modular furniture system consists of stackable boxes that can be flexibly combined to create shelves, sideboards, or entire wall solutions. Modular furniture solutions like those from IKEA have long been a part of modern living culture.
To make this adaptability visible, we at Danthree Studio developed a 3D product video that shows BrickBox in motion. Not as a technical construction, but as a living solution for real spaces.
The challenge was clear: the modularity should not be explained, but experienced. No long texts. No classic advertising images. But an animation that conveys the essence of BrickBox – design that grows, changes, and rethinks space.
This resulted in a concept that focuses on the essentials: the product, its movements, its function – embedded in a visual language that is reduced, high-quality, and inspiring.
From Furniture Concept to Moving Image – Storytelling Behind the 3D Animation
BrickBox is more than just a shelf – it's a system that can be reconfigured again and again with just a few basic elements. That's exactly what we wanted to make tangible in the video: the idea of flexibility, of freedom of design, of furniture that grows with you.
That's why we didn't show the furniture in an abstract scene, but in a realistically designed interior space with warm light, real flooring, and clear architecture. Here, the BrickBox modules unfold into different configurations – sometimes linear, sometimes staggered, sometimes as a corner solution or room divider.
The camera moves calmly through the scenes. No quick cuts, no effects overload – but targeted transitions that emphasize the change in shapes. This is how a single module suddenly becomes a shelf with function. A simple combination becomes a statement piece.
Each scene represents a possible application – and at the same time a feeling: freedom, clarity, versatility. Exactly what makes BrickBox as a brand.
From Box to System – 3D Animation as a Branding Tool
The design of the video began with the product structure itself: BrickBox consists of two basic sizes – Small and Large – supplemented by doors in four colors, shelves and simple wooden legs. These elements were translated by us into photorealistic 3D models – with visible screws, rounded edges and the typical multiplex look with veneered surface.
The goal was to make the character of BrickBox visible in every detail – without exaggeration, but with precision. The color scheme in the video follows the brand identity: predominantly white and gray, with accents in yellow and mint green. The lighting was also adapted to this – soft, natural, with subtle reflections.
In terms of content, we show six transformations – including BrickBox classics such as the shelf with legs, the modular sideboard or the double-sided shelf wall. The individual structures were choreographed in such a way that they remain visually clear, but at the same time show the complexity of the system.
The animation was optimized for web, social media and presentations – in 16:9 format, square and vertical. BrickBox thus receives a versatile brand tool that not only sells, but inspires.
3D Product Videos as the Future of Furniture Visualization – Using Modular Systems as Example
BrickBox is an example of how you can visually bring product and idea together. A piece of furniture that is as functional as it is simple – and therefore places high demands on its presentation. Because if you want to communicate modularity, you need more than just a photo.
A 3D product video offers exactly that: it not only shows what something looks like – but how it feels, moves, develops. For BrickBox, this means: from the first box to the complete shelf wall. From a flat combination to a vertical solution. Always with a clear design claim and the feeling: “That suits me.”
For us at Danthree Studio, this project was more than just a rendering job. It was an opportunity to bring the vision of BrickBox into a lively, high-quality format – which works both in digital marketing and in stationary retail. Ideal for online shops and e-commerce, where visual content makes the difference. Modular furniture solutions like those from IKEA have long been a part of modern living culture – and show how flexibly furnishing is thought of today.
In a time when furniture brands are looking for new ways to present their products, an animated product video is more than just a tool – it's an experience. Product videos have been proven to increase conversion rates in online retail. And BrickBox shows: modular design deserves moving images.
