This is made possible through personalized consultation, a respectful approach to using materials of exceptional quality, high standards for its own designs, and the use of high-quality CGI images to support its brand communication.
In 2022, we had the opportunity to travel to Goshen, Chicago, for the first time. Viewrail doesn’t sell stairs and railings—Viewrail sells dreams come true. But how exactly do you convey that to customers? Working closely with Viewrail, we developed visualizations for their Floating Stairs —modern, cantilevered stair solutions—as well as for their Glass Railing Systems, which accentuate the open loft style.

This is where we at Danthree Studio come in. We were commissioned to design product images of staircases and railing systems to showcase the various possibilities of Viewrail 3D —images that convey both the brand and the unique requirements of each individual project.
Our CGI artists did exactly what Viewrail does for its own clients: We spent a long time immersing ourselves in Viewrail’s products, work processes, and vision. The brand spaces we had the privilege of creating for the 3D visualizations of staircases and railings embody Viewrail’s identity. As Dwell reports, cantilevered staircase systems are increasingly shaping modern residential architecture—a trend we were able to bring to life visually for Viewrail.
3D Visualizations for Indoor and Outdoor Staircases and Handrail Systems
Indoors, outdoors—and it’s always about staircases and railing systems. As a staircase manufacturer, Viewrail is known for iconic staircases that seem to float weightlessly in space. No matter what materials are used, the steps exude a natural lightness and lack the massive heaviness one might associate with indoor and outdoor staircases.
The reason for this lies in how the structural design and the railing were handled. Viewrail, based in Goshen near Chicago (USA), is also a railing manufacturer and specializes in glass and cable. This presented a particular challenge for our CGI artists.
Textures for Stairs and Railings in Photorealistic 3D Renderings
Although glass allows us to see what lies beyond it, it refracts light. The view is not unobstructed or unaltered, and of course, light reflections and diffuse shadows add an extra layer of intrigue.
Designing these textures for the 3D visualizations of staircases and railings and creating photorealistic showroom designs was a real challenge.
This also applies to outdoor areas: as an agency for CGI product visuals, we know how important the details are. Renderings of stairs and railing systems are only credible if everything is right, from the incidence of light and the 3D surface structure to the small subtleties of reflections. Optics and tangible haptics - that's what counts. For particularly complex or high-resolution projects, a render farm can significantly speed up the rendering process and increase efficiency.
