CGI for a rug collection: texture, color options and light within one living space.
A rug changes a room through its color, shape and surface. For this image series, we developed a CGI interior that brings those qualities together. The images were created for digital and print applications.
The room takes its cue from the product: a quiet living area, large windows and furnishings whose colors work with the rug. Our 3D product imagery combines that setting with close-ups of the textile surface.
Rug texture in changing light
We modeled the rug and developed its surface texture. Light and shadow reveal the raised pattern and fibers in the images. Alongside the finished views, the gallery includes a look at the room’s 3D modeling.
The product renderings show different colors, viewpoints and crops. Room views place the rug in context, while details focus on its texture and material appearance.
We placed the rug in a loft-style interior. The large windows give the light a clear direction, making the shadows across the product easy to read.
The windows look onto dense greenery. The furnishings are contemporary and restrained, with a palette built around natural materials. Room and product follow the client’s visual language.
One visual concept for room and product
Wood, fabric and the colors of the furnishings provide a setting for the rug options. Designing that room is part of presenting the product: it shapes how the collection is seen.
The 3D imagery was created for print and digital applications. Different viewpoints show the same room and keep the images connected as a series.
The project film adds movement. It returns to the same living space and complements the still images with another way to present the product.
