Textile soundproof curtains in focus - photorealistic 3D visualization of Kvadrat's "Waves"
Acoustic Curtain System “Waves” – CGI Brand Spaces for Kvadrat
For Kvadrat, we completely digitally modelled the modular "Waves" soundproof curtain system and visualized it photorealistically in 3D. From the initial mood boards to the physics-based light simulation, every pixel comes from our 3D brand communication studio. Textile lightness, the rhythmically guided wave form and sound absorption of up to fifteen decibels merge here to create immersive brand spaces that impress architects, interior brands and acoustic planners alike.
Four room concepts, one textile acoustic solution
The CGI series shows "Waves" in four realistic settings that are precisely tailored to the customer briefing: In an open-plan office, the curtain divides the space into quiet work zones; in an educational institution, it creates a concentrated break-out area; a hotel lobby gains atmosphere through a muted soundscape; and a modern meeting room is given additional discretion as well as a clear focus for discussions. Each scenario has its own color scheme, matching furniture and a precise daylight setup, so that the natural drapery and track heights and widths of up to five meters stylishly carry the Kvadrat corporate design.
3D reconstruction of the curtain system - Digital textile rendering
The digital craftsmanship begins with the geometry: each wave was constructed as a high-poly mesh and provided with realistic draping. Original Kvadrat textiles lie on the outside, while on the inside one or two damping cores together with the top layers form three to four sound-absorbing layers that make the physical acoustic performance visually credible. High-resolution fabric scans were refined into physically correct PBR shaders so that fiber density, weave and fine gloss levels remain perceptible even in close-ups. The manual track system - either black or white, straight or curved, made to measure - is also digitally integrated, as is the option of free-hanging or close-to-ceiling installation.
CGI room concepts for soundproof curtains - Flexible brand communication
On this detailed 3D basis, Kvadrat can implement any variant of its system without new shoots: wider elements for higher ceilings, seasonal color stories or completely new room types. The optimized assets work seamlessly in offline renderings, real-time WebGL configurators and AR showrooms. The result is a scalable content ecosystem that provides print, web, social media and immersive applications with a consistent, photorealistic visual language - and at the same time impressively communicates the brand's design and acoustic expertise.
