Children's rooms are multifunctional rooms: the little inhabitants want to feel comfortable here, want to relax and sleep in security.
But they also expect a stimulating environment that encourages play and exploration. Parents also have expectations of the children's room: the furniture should be easy to clean and robust, support children's learning and be safe at the same time. How do you present such rooms - brand rooms for children's room furniture?
High quality digital 3D product images with CGI
We chose product images that focus on the aesthetics of simply and naturally furnished spaces. The actual message, what makes the atmosphere of play and living spaces for children, is subtly conveyed. This allowed our CGI artists to create digital 3D product images that appeal and convince at first sight. For this, they digitized the surfaces and textures and "played" with them in the 3D visualizations, letting themselves be inspired by the natural lighting and thus creating spaces that convince with their warm and bright atmosphere.
Less is more - every 3D visualization looks clear and tidy. So the focus is really on the children's furniture that these product images are meant to show. Concentration on the essentials, combined with ingenuity and a high level of creativity with regard to the details: this is how we clarify the values for which the children's furniture manufacturer stands, while at the same time answering customers' questions before they even arise.
Children's rooms have two target groups: Children and parents
Product images in the furniture, home & living sector are no longer created with realistically constructed rooms in which the furniture to be depicted is placed for advertising purposes. That is far too costly. Instead, at Danthree Studio we create high-quality CGI, photo-realistic digital images of the desired brand spaces. Simple interiors with a few pieces of furniture draw attention to the products being marketed. Our 3D visualizations show the furniture pieces from different perspectives, but always in the same space. This creates a realistic-looking space that has a believable atmosphere. The furniture can thus be experienced in context.
For our target group, it was important that the product images appeal to both parents and children. Children's furniture is bought by parents, but it is often evaluated from a child's perspective. Children need spaces that communicate a relaxed and safe atmosphere. Little furniture and clear shapes with clear lighting was purposeful here. After all, too much furniture is distracting and has a restless effect. Children want to be stimulated, but they feel comfortable in rooms that they can grasp at a glance.
However, the light direction is important not only for the atmosphere of the room, but also creates surfaces and textures. In this project, the manufacturer of children's furniture primarily uses wood. Natural materials that are soft, child-safe, environmentally friendly and have a good feel are used for the entire range. The soft, warm surfaces of the native woods come out well in each individual 3D visualization. The digitally created space is lit in a way that intuitively captures the texture of the surfaces. Warm colors from nature's palette, combined with lots of white, create a pleasantly warm atmosphere despite the bright illumination.
Children, by the way, are not seen in these rooms. Size ratios and the target group of the furniture becomes clear just by the combination with a few playground equipment and accessories. In this simplicity, the product images also immediately communicate the spiritual origin of the furniture: we are in the trendy Scandinavian style.
