3D Visualizations for Plant Pots, Flower Boxes & Benches
For this project, Danthree Studio was allowed to create 3D visualizations for Watcon, which mainly produces clay plant pots and flower boxes, but also benches.
However, these aren't just regular, practical products, but real works of art. The handmade pots are made of clay and, with their fine structures, are a real eye-catcher.
Since the manufacturer attaches great importance to sustainability, natural materials are used for the production and the products are manufactured to be weatherproof and stable. This isn't about "Fast Fashion", but about long-lasting art.
Danthree Studio as a CGI studio was tasked with creating exterior visualizations for the company, which the company can use to visually market its products.
So we made sure to create appealing and aesthetic scenes that show the pots and benches in their full glory. It was also important to us to depict the surface textures realistically and to present the products in a lifelike environment. Displacement maps bring measurable depth to the image, especially with rough clay reliefs or pronounced edges.
The precise lighting of the surfaces – e.g. in Corten steel or coated aluminum – creates a visual depth; we enhance contact and corner shadows with Ambient Occlusion (AO), which is also becoming increasingly important in urban furniture design.
Sustainable materials in the 3D visualization of plant pots and benches
The company Watson, based in India, designs and produces high-quality plant pots, flower boxes and benches from sustainable materials.
They combine this progressive concept with modern, minimalist designs, so that the products can be displayed in numerous environments - whether in public squares, in the office or in chic bars and restaurants.
Design furniture such as planters or modular benches are increasingly shaping modern outdoor spaces – as numerous examples in Dezeen show.
Unique value: Different designs for every buyer
The plant pots and benches are made of natural clay, which is not only sustainable and durable, but also looks unique, as clay can be shaped in a variety of ways.
The manufacturer of these products relies on smooth and even shapes and delicate surface structures, which gives the whole thing a unique and high-quality look.
Both small and large, and elongated as well as round pots are represented at this company. In large places with plenty of space, the large pots naturally come out particularly "big", while the smaller ones can also brighten up narrower spaces.
In contrast to the cheap products that can be found in chain stores like IKEA, each piece from Watcon looks unique and none looks exactly like another. This gives the buyer a certain feeling of value, as nobody owns exactly the same product.
