Furniture heritage meets 3D product photography
The YOU chair by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna was designed by LucidiPevere in 2024. Its bent beech frame and beech plywood shell create a clear outline. The stackable YOU chair comes in natural wood, colored finishes and upholstered versions. Our product images focus on those differences.
Danthree Studio created photorealistic furniture packshots on a white background. The brief was to show the chair’s form, color and construction without building a room around it.
Our digital photo studio focused on material variations and camera angles. Individual views show the chair’s outline; stacked groups reveal how the forms fit together. The image series brings product information into the brand’s restrained visual language.
Wood and upholstery in detail
The challenge in the 3D product photography was to represent bent beechwood and upholstered surfaces. We used UV mapping to align the wood grain and fabric textures with the model. Light and shadow needed to make the transitions between shell, frame and upholstery clear.
Close-ups show edges, connections and surfaces. Texture, color and reflections convey material qualities in an image; they do not replace handling the chair.
One chair, several viewpoints
The arch between the legs is both a design feature and a support for stacking. Side views and stacked groups make that relationship visible without additional props.
We produced high-resolution product shots from several angles. A white background and shadows give the color variations a shared visual language, keeping form and material in focus.
Color variations for trade shows and catalogs
Working to Gebrüder Thonet Vienna’s design specifications, we depicted natural wood, colored finishes and upholstery. The gallery includes the renderings alongside examples of their use in catalogs, on websites and in social media.
The packshots were created for the 2024 Milan furniture fair and were also used in catalogs. The chair remains recognizable across full views and close-ups, with each angle revealing different details.
