Furniture history meets modern 3D product photography.
Thonet Vienna is a symbol of timeless furniture tradition. Their YOU chair, designed in 2024 by LucidiPevere of Palmanova, Italy, embodies versatility and understated elegance. The stackable YOU chair, made of bentwood, combines clean lines with functional dynamism. Thanks to its minimalist and timeless form, it offers stability and ease of handling when stacked. The beechwood seat shell is available in natural or vibrant colors, with optional upholstery in the same or a contrasting color.
Danthree Studio, as a 3D Render Studio, had the task of creating photorealistic pack shot renderings and CGI visualizations for this versatile chair.
Our digital photo studio focused on accurately depicting the various materials and color options, as well as using dynamic perspectives to showcase the chair. The YOU chair, which is ideal for use in both small rooms and larger spaces thanks to its versatility, was rendered by our CGI artists in a way that allows its functionality and elegance to be experienced both visually and tactilely.
Haptic 3D visualizations for realistic product visuals.
In the digital 3D product photography by Danthree Studio, the challenge was to capture the beech wood frame and the fine textures of the upholstery in true detail. The photorealistic nature of the cut-out renderings and the clear lighting ensure that the YOU chair can be experienced in all its facets. The basis for this is precise UV mapping, which places the fabric cover, fibers and wood grain on the model without distortion.
By combining light, shadow and precise shaders, we were able to realistically reproduce every surface texture, which is particularly important for product visuals and trade fair presentations.
CGI techniques for photorealistic Pack Shot renderings.
The versatility of the YOU chair is not only reflected in its design but also in the various combination options. Thanks to its slim shape and the stability guaranteed by the rubber protective caps, the chair is ideal for small spaces where stacking furniture is important.
Our 3D product visualizations ensured that these functional and aesthetic aspects were perfectly showcased. We created high-resolution pack shot renderings that showed the chair from different angles, showcasing the materiality and design.
3D visualizations with a focus on details and haptics.
Working closely with Gebrüder Thonet Vienna's design specifications, we integrated both the natural color variations and the upholstery into the renderings. These photorealistic clipping renderings are a perfect example of how Digital Twins play a key role in 3D product photography.
The interplay of light and shadow in the depiction of the wood and upholstery was a particular challenge, which we mastered thanks to our advanced CGI techniques. This resulted in impressive, tactile product visuals that underline the versatility and sophistication of the YOU chair in catalogs and at trade fairs. The brand itself has already been featured several times in renowned design magazines such as Dezeen —a testament to its design relevance, which we had the opportunity to showcase using CGI.
