Furniture history meets modern 3D product photography
The Thonet Vienna brothers are a symbol of timeless furniture tradition. Their YOU chair, designed by LucidiPevere in 2024, stands for versatility and simple elegance. The stackable chair made of curved wood combines clear style with functional dynamism. Thanks to its minimalist and timeless shape, it offers stability and manageability when stacked. The beech wood seat shell is available in natural or bright colors, with optional upholstery in the same or contrasting color.
Danthree Studio, as 3D Render Studio, was tasked with creating photorealistic pack shot renderings and 3D visualizations for this versatile chair. Our digital photo studio focused on the precise representation of the different materials and color options as well as exciting perspectives to set the chair in scene. The YOU chair, whose versatility makes it ideal for use in both small spaces and larger areas, was rendered by our CGI artists in such a way that its functionality and elegance can be experienced visually and haptically.
Haptic 3D visualizations for realistic product images
In the 3D product photography by Danthree Studio, the challenge was to capture the beech wood frame and the fine textures of the upholstery in true detail. The photorealistic nature of the cut-out renderings and the clear lighting ensure that the YOU chair can be experienced in all its facets. By combining light, shadow and precise shaders, we were able to realistically reproduce every surface texture, which is particularly important for product images and trade fair presentations.
CGI techniques for photorealistic clipping renderings
The versatility of the YOU chair is not only evident in its design, but also in the various possible combinations. Thanks to its slim shape and the stability provided by the rubber protective caps, the chair is ideal for small spaces where stacking furniture is important. Our 3D product visualizations ensured that these functional and aesthetic aspects were perfectly showcased. We created high-resolution pack shot renderings that showed the chair from different angles, showcasing the materiality and design.
3D visualizations with a focus on details and haptics
In close coordination with the design specifications of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, we integrated both the natural color variants and the upholstery into the renderings. These photorealistic clipping renderings are a perfect example of how digital twins play a key role in 3D product photography. In particular, the interplay of light and shadow in the rendering of the wood and upholstery was a challenge that we mastered thanks to our advanced CGI techniques. This resulted in impressive, tactile product images that underline the versatility and sophistication of the YOU chair in catalogs and at trade fairs.
