Outdoor furniture in a Mediterranean setting: CGI imagery for Sedda's Gibraltar collection
Austria's Sedda Polstermöbelwerke developed the Gibraltar outdoor lounge collection with designer Sven Dogs. The collection combines a slender metal frame, exposed webbing and upholstered cushions. That relationship between materials provided the starting point for our CGI image series.
Sven Dogs designed a powder-coated tubular stainless-steel frame with webbing suspension. Seat and back cushions complete the open construction. Our task was to make the frame, webbing and upholstery distinct in the images and present the furniture in a Mediterranean setting. We created 3D product imagery for the outdoor collection, supported by isolated product views and close-ups.
Showing the webbing, upholstery and frame in detail
The lounge collection called for a Mediterranean setting. Landscape, sunlight and color established the summer atmosphere. The furniture remained the focus: slender tubular frames, tensioned webbing and patterned cushions. The 3D renderings combine overall views with closer perspectives on these details.
Color contrasts and camera angles reveal how the cushions rest on the webbing. Close-ups show the differences between coated metal, webbing and fabric. They complement the atmospheric outdoor views with a closer look at the furniture's construction.
Gibraltar outdoor lounge furniture in a Mediterranean brand environment
Working closely with Sedda, we developed a setting for the collection's visual brand communication. Landscape, lighting, colors and accessories were coordinated. The architecture and surroundings frame Gibraltar while keeping attention on the furniture.
Sedda supplied photographs and drawings of the lounge furniture. From those references, we built the sofa, ottoman and tables as photorealistic 3D models. UV mapping determines how textures sit on those models. The manufacturer's material references provided the basis for the coated tubing, webbing and patterned upholstery. Using PBR materials, we coordinated color, surface structure and reflections with the lighting.
