FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions About Before-and-After Photo Comparisons

What file formats does the tool support?

PNG and JPG/JPEG. For accurate comparisons, it is recommended to use the same color space (e.g., sRGB) and identical dimensions for both images.

What are the Wiper, Side-by-Side, and Flicker modes best suited for?

Wiper: precise cut-off edge; Side-by-Side: continuous direct comparison; Flicker: microscopic differences are particularly noticeable due to the rapid alternation.

What's the most effective way to use the magnifying glass?

Adjust the diameter and magnification, and move the magnifying glass over critical areas (edges, shadows, highlights, text). The image itself is not altered.

Are there any keyboard shortcuts?

Yes. In Flicker mode, F switches between A and B. (Further control via sliders and buttons.)

Is this tool suitable for print approvals?

For a visual check, yes. Binding proofing requirements (e.g., print ICC profiles, measurements) are handled outside the tool.

Can I share or document results?

Yes. You can share the configuration via a link or generate a PDF export for sharing.
