Checker for Tileable Textures
Large landscape preview with magnifying glass, mirror test, seam overlay & grid. GDPR-friendly - everything stays in the browser.
Our free online tool shows in seconds whether a texture tiles seamlessly. You get a large landscape preview, a magnifying glass for detailed edges, a mirror test for quick troubleshooting and a seam overlay for visual highlighting.
Everything happens on-device - ideal for teams that want to consistently display material assets (e.g. Surfaces & Materials: Material & Surface Visualization).
Load, zoom, check: A large landscape-oriented preview, mirror test, magnifying glass, and seam overlay make seams immediately visible.
With our free Texture Checker, you can check seamless textures right in your browser. It supports common formats such as PNG, JPG, and WebP. Learn more about our 3D visualization.
Whether it's Windows, macOS, Linux, or iOS/Android—the Checker works in any modern browser. No installation, no plugins, full flexibility.
Whether you're a 3D artist, interior design brand, or product manager—you'll instantly see if your PBR textures are truly seamless. Perfect for CGI, architecture, and e-commerce. More real-world examples: 3D CGI projects.
You don't need an account or to log in. Simply drag your file into the tool and see the results right away—including the seam score and magnifying glass.
Test your textures before your next project—whether it's for architecture, furniture, or interior design. This will save you time and help you avoid having to make adjustments later in the 3D rendering studio.
Our calculation logic is based on common standards for PBR workflows. For more detailed information , see Wikipedia: Texture mapping and Adobe Substance 3D Sampler.
The Checker supports PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP. Other formats, such as TGA, EXR, or PSD, should be converted beforehand—for example, in Photoshop or using Adobe Substance 3D Sampler.
Tileable textures are the foundation of photorealistic PBR rendering. Visible seams or patterns that repeat look unprofessional—whether in interior design, gaming, or e-commerce. You can find real-world examples under 3D Visualization.
The Mirror Test flips your texture horizontally or vertically to make seams visible more quickly. This helps you find errors that are often hidden in standard tiling.
Yes. You can document your QA results using the built-in PDF export feature. You can also generate a share link and share the configuration with colleagues. Our 3D animation studio offers further insights into workflows.
PoT textures (for example, 1024, 2048, or 4096 pixels) are processed more efficiently by rendering engines such as Unreal Engine or V-Ray. This improves mipmapping and performance. For a technical overview, see the glossary entry: UV mapping.
Adobe Photoshop (offset method), GIMP, or Substance 3D Sampler are suitable for quick adjustments. Specialized tools such as Materialize also help to automatically clean up seams. Adobe Substance 3D Sampler offers additional information on material workflows.
