We take climate protection and CO₂ compensation very seriously in our 3D / CGI agency. That's why our services and our complete CGI work for our customers are now climate-neutral.
In concrete terms, this means for our customers: climate-neutral visual marketing. As one of the first CGI agencies, we are committed to climate protection and want to be a pioneer in this area and encourage others to do the same.
You can find out which project we are investing our CO₂ compensation in and how it works in this article.
3D visualizations and CGI are resource-intensive, requiring powerful hardware and software, from digitizing materials / surfaces and 3D modeling to the finished 3D visualization or on-site meetings with our clients. This involves a high commitment of resources, from the production of the hardware to the creation of the finished 3D visualizations or 3D animations.
Let's face it: climate protection is more important than ever! Through CO2 offsetting, we can offer our services at Danthree Studio in a climate-neutral way.
Why climate protection is important to us at Danthree Studio
The far too high CO2 emissions of the past decades are contributing to the Earth's continued warming.
To put it simply: CO2 is released during electricity generation, the incineration of waste, heating with fossil fuels, and the transportation of goods around the world. CO2 accumulates in the atmosphere. The sun's rays can pass through this enriched atmosphere, ensuring that temperatures on Earth are in a range that allows life.
But actually, some of the radiation should be reflected and radiated back into space. The radiation is reflected on the Earth's surface, but the gas mixture in the atmosphere doesn't let the rays back into space, instead reflecting them back to Earth. This makes it warmer and warmer here - that's climate change.
The solution? There isn't one. We can slow down and maybe even stop climate change by producing less CO2. That's why our 3D visualizations and CGI projects are created in a climate-neutral way. In our case, climate-neutral doesn't mean that no CO2 enters the atmosphere when we provide our services. We can't manage that. But we do create a CO2 offset.
Our CO2 offset for a sustainable tomorrow
CO2 offsetting is a way to prevent CO2 where it originates. We cannot prevent CO2 from being produced during the production of the hardware we use, because it is manufactured in countries over whose production conditions we have extremely limited influence.
But we can help make electricity production in these countries (and in other, less developed countries) a little more climate-friendly. We pay for the construction of electricity production plants that operate in a climate-neutral way and provide energy from renewable sources. And we financially support projects that ensure reforestation.
Reforestation is so important because healthy forests permanently bind CO2. The plants take the carbon dioxide from the air; they need it for their metabolism. Oxygen is produced as a "waste product," which ensures a clean atmosphere.
What does CO2 offsetting bring you as a Danthree Studio customer?
With us, you get climate-neutral 3D visualizations, 3D models, and even 3D films. This means your marketing is also climate-neutral, at least for the part you entrust to us. You can promote your furniture, home, or living products and services with a clear conscience, because your marketing doesn't contribute to the destruction of our planet.
What gives you a good conscience is a selling point for your customers. In fact, awareness of environmental and climate protection is very high. And of course, as a climate and environmental protector, you can be confident that you will still live in a world worth living in tomorrow.
Let's stop climate change together! With climate-neutral CGI and 3D visualizations, we are making a small contribution.
Which project we invest our CO2 compensation in
In the heart of South Africa, we have found a project that is close to our hearts. The aim of this project in South Africa (Longyuan Mulilo De Aar Maanhaarberg Wind Energy Facility) is to feed the electricity generated by wind power into the grid of the Republic of South Africa (RSA).
The project involves the construction of a new, grid-connected wind farm at a site where no wind farm was operated prior to the implementation of the measure. The wind farm consists of 67 wind turbines and associated infrastructure and is located on the Swartkoppies and Maanhaarbergen southwest of the town of De Aar in the Northern Cape Province of the RSA. Longyuan Mulilo De Aar Wind Power (RF) (Pty) Ltd is the developer of the wind farm.
A 30-day public comment period for this project took place from September 25 to October 25. No comments were received during this period. The total reduction in GHG emissions at the end of the crediting period is expected to be 4,339,290 t CO2e.
You can find out more about the project here: Our certificate Longyuan Mulilo De Aar Maanhaarberg Wind Energy Facility.
